ANNUAL MATHEMATICS CONTEST

RE: THE 15TH KANGARU SCHOOL ANNUAL NATIONAL MATHEMATICS CONTEST

We have the pleasure to invite your school to participate in THE 15TH KANGARU SCHOOL ANNUAL NATIONAL MATHEMATICS CONTEST to be held on Saturday 7th June, 2025 starting from 7.00a.m.

The objective of the contest is to promote the culture of doing mathematics among students and assist mathematics teachers in sharing useful ideas in teaching and learning mathematics in their school. All participating students will receive certificate of participation and all school who attain top positions (position 1 and 2) will receive awards. Overall best girl and boy in form 4 will be awarded a scholarship to study a professional course at Strathmore University.

The contest will be marked and various awards presented same day. A team of 10 students will be formed across all forms. There will be a different exam for each form and each team will be awarded independently and according to category of school i.e. boys, girls, mixed and special needs. All students and school will be ranked in the final analysis.

Each participating school shall pay Kshs.3,000 (three thousand shillings only) for each team of ten students (i.e. five form 4s, three form 3s and two form 2s). A school can pay for more than one team.

Students are advised to carry packed lunch and necessary mathematical tools.
